Beirut, March 24 -- A member of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Barhoum, was killed in an Israeli strike on the Nasser hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, the Palestinian movement said in a statement.
Earlier, the Gaza Health Ministry said that the Nasser medical complex in the Gaza Strip had been attacked by the Israeli army, and that at the time of the strike there were wounded and medical personnel in the building. According to Al-Aqsa broadcaster, at least five people were killed.
"The Islamic Resistance Movement of Hamas honors the memory of the martyr, brother Ismail Barhoum, a member of the political bureau of the movement in Gaza," the statement says.
