New Delhi, March 30 -- Eight Indian nationals have died and one remains missing amid the escalating Gulf conflict, even as India scrambles to secure energy lifelines and evacuate citizens, with key LPG cargoes successfully transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscored the need to keep vital maritime corridors operational during talks.
"The Prime Minister condemned the attacks targeting energy infrastructure in that region. Both leaders also discussed the importance of keeping sea routes and maritime navigation free, open, and secure," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said.
