Shimla, March 20 -- The economy of Himachal Pradesh is projected to witness moderate growth in 2025-26, with real Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) estimated to rise by 1.9 per cent compared to the previous year, according to the Economic Survey presented in the State Assembly on Friday.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu who holds the portfolio of finance noted that while the state economy continues to expand, the pace of real growth has slowed due to global uncertainties and climatic challenges impacting key sectors. The state estimated to register the growth in Gross State Domestic Product(GSDP) by 8.3 per cent in 2025-26 against 6.4 pc in 2024-25.
