New Delhi/Hyderabad, July 17 -- Greater Hyderabad has earned the distinction of being the cleanest city in Telangana, receiving national recognition in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).

The prestigious award was presented at a national event held at Loni Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Secretary Dr K Ilambarithi and GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan received the award from Union Minister Manohar Lal, marking a proud moment for the state and the city.

In this year's survey, Greater Hyderabad secured the 6th rank in the "Waste-Free City" category among cities with a population of over 10 lakhs and was awarded a 7-star rating. ...
