Washington, Feb. 1 -- Actor Grady Demond Wilson, best known for his role as Lamont Sanford on the hit TV sitcom Sanford and Son, has passed away at the age of 79.
Wilson's son, Demond Wilson Jr., told TMZ that his father died Saturday at his home in Palm Springs due to complications related to cancer, though the specific type of cancer was not disclosed. "I loved him. He was a great man," Demond Jr. said.
