New Delhi, Aug. 13 -- In a major move aimed at addressing career stagnation, the Government of India has approved the first-ever cadre review for Group B and C personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF), paving the way for immediate promotions for 23,710 employees from Constable to Inspector rank.

Officials confirmed that the implementation process has already begun, with 8,116 promotion orders issued on Wednesday. The decision is expected to significantly improve career progression opportunities for frontline personnel, boosting morale within the force.
