New Delhi, April 9 -- India remains on heightened alert as it monitors maritime safety and the welfare of Indian nationals amid the evolving situation in the Gulf and West Asia region. During the inter-ministerial briefing in the national capital on Thursday, the Government provided a comprehensive update.
The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, working closely with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Indian Missions, continues to track the evolving situation in the Persian Gulf. Officials confirmed that all Indian seafarers in the region are safe and that no incidents involving Indian-flagged vessels have been reported in the past 24 hours.
