New Delhi, Sept. 25 -- The government today cancelled with immeddiate effect the FCRA license granted to the association 'Students Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh' (SECMOL), the NGO of Ladakh's climate activist Sonam Wangchuck.
The decision came a day after the violent protests in Ladakh demanding statehood left four people dead and scores injured.
"SECMOL was granted registration under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, vide Registration Certificate No 152710012R to accept foreign contribution for undertaking Cultural and Educational Programme," the order said.
