New Delhi, March 17 -- The Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science & Technology has funded Chennai-based Acrannolife Genomics Private Limited to set up a manufacturing facility for indigenous diagnostic kits aimed at transplant care and tuberculosis detection.
The project involves establishing a production unit at the Government Industrial Estate in Tamil Nadu to scale up two in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products developed by Acrannolife, which develops non-invasive diagnostic tools using cell-free DNA analysis and LAMP-based platforms. The move is expected to boost domestic manufacturing of molecular diagnostics, a segment still reliant on imports.
