New Delhi, Sept. 9 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today said the government is going to provide relief to the affected farmers in the national capital who faced crop damage after flood water entered their fields.

She lauded state government officials for standing their ground and carrying on with relief works when water entered the Yamuna floodplains, and also in the areas where the flood water entered from the Haryana side after the embankment of the Mungeshpur drain got damaged.

She said the government has appreciated the relief efforts by the administration officials during the tough time, adding that there is more to be done in this regard.
