Berlin, April 2 -- Mario Gotze has signed a two-year contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt, committing his future to the Eagles until June 2028.
The 33-year-old, who joined Frankfurt from PSV Eindhoven ahead of the 2022-23 season, has grown into a leading figure within the squad. One of six team captains, the 2014 World Cup winner has made 148 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 18 assists while logging more than 10,200 minutes on the pitch.
Gotze has also remained a regular presence this season, featuring in 26 matches in the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League and DFB-Pokal.
