London, Jan. 16 -- Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed he will step down when his contract expires at the end of the season, bringing to close landmark period in the club's history.

The Austrian revealed on Friday that he had already informed chairman Steve Parish during the October international break that he would not be extending his stay.

His announcement comes amid reports that Palace captain Marc Guehi is close to move to Manchester City, though Glasner stressed that his own decision was unrelated to transfer matters.
