Hyderabad, Dec. 28 -- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is set to launch a massive citywide sanitation drive from December 29, aimed at improving urban hygiene and clearing long-pending waste across Hyderabad.
The special drive will continue till January 31, 2026, covering 300 wards following the recent delimitation.
The initiative, the first major sanitation campaign after ward reorganisation, has been instructed by GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan.
According to a circular issued by the civic body, the drive will focus on eliminating legacy waste, clearing Garbage Vulnerable Points (GVPs) and strengthening community participation in cleanliness efforts.
