Shimla, Feb. 9 -- Former Shimla district police chief Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi has been appointed Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh Milk Federation (MILKFED) with immediate effect, according to a notification issued by the state Department of Personnel.
Gandhi, who was recently shifted from the post of Superintendent of Police, Shimla and placed at the disposal of the Personnel Department, has now been entrusted with the leadership of the key cooperative institution linked with the rural and dairy economy of the hill state.
His appointment marks a notable transition from frontline policing to a major public sector cooperative role.
