Jaipur, Feb. 23 -- Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Monday deplored the incumbent BJP-led state government's "ridiculous proposal" of a 2-year vs 5-year debate on development and also accused the current dispensation of either stalling or taking credit for the works sanctioned or launched under the previous Congress regime.

Talking to the media in the assembly complex, Gehlot said, "No government,t either at the Centre or in the states has ever made such a 'Murkhtapurn (foolish) proposal of debate. This is not only illogical but also contrary to the established democratic conventions".
