Aizawl, Feb. 8 -- The Aizawl Bench of the Gauhati High Court has directed the construction firm entrusted with the repair and maintenance of key stretches of the Aizawl-Silchar national highway to complete the work before the end of April, underscoring the urgency of restoring Mizoram's critical supply route ahead of the monsoon season.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Marli Vankung and Justice Mridul Kumar Kalita issued the direction on Wednesday while hearing a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by the Mizoram Truck Drivers Association (MTDA) in 2025.
