Itanagar, Jan. 24 -- The Itanagar permanent bench of the Gauhati High Court has quashed the bail granted to IAS officer Talo Potom in the suicide of a 19-year-old youth, Gomchu Yekar, observing that the bail order was "unjustified and perverse" and passed without proper application of mind.
Passing the order on January 22, Justice Yarenjungla Longkumer allowed a criminal petition filed by the father of the deceased, who had challenged the bail granted by the district and sessions judge, Yupia, on November 4, 2025, in Nirjuli police station.
