Kolkata, Jan. 19 -- Aiming to spread the humanistic spiritual philosophy of Gaurnga Mahaprabhu, the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association - a congregation of monks of the Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu order - has constructed the Gaura-Nitai Temple in West Bengal's Nadia district, an official said on Monday.
The temple has come up at Sreenathpur in the holy Mayapur town, said Radharaman Das of the Gaudiya Vaishnava Association.
He said Gauranga Mahaprabhu's philosophy upholds equality, love and devotion beyond the barriers of caste and creed. So, the principal objective behind establishing the temple is to create a centre dedicated to promoting universal devotion and compassion while addressing social discrimination.
