Gandhi's century old call for Swachhata Abhiyan & other ideals were lauded on his martyrdom day in Rajasthan.

Jaipur, Jan. 31 -- Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma led Rajasthan in observing Martyrs Day on the death anniversary of the father of the nation on Friday.

A Pushpanjali programme organised by Bharat Seva Sansthan and other Gandhian institutions, lauded the crusade for Cleanliness (Swachchta) launched by the Mahatma a century ago.

In a befitting tribute to Bapu, Gandhian thinkers, followers, students, cadets of the NCC and scouts brought out a march from the Central Park to the Gandhi Vatika here this morning.

At the vatika floral tributes were offered to father-of-the nation, bhajans and devotional songs were sung and GandhiJi and his deeds were recalled.
