Chennai, Aug. 17 -- Gandharv Gourav Kothapalli of Karnataka and Parthsarthi Arun Mundhe of Maharashtra annexed the Boys and Girls singles titles respectively in the finals of the MCC-N.Sankar Memorial National Junior U-18 Clay Court Tennis Championship here this evening.
While Gourav halted the fairy tale run of Qualifier Rohith Hari Balaji of Tamil Nadu winning 6-4, 6-3
for the Boy's crown, Mundhe quelled a late challenge from Akansha Ghosh of West Bengal before winning 6-1, 7-5 to bag the Girl's title.
The winners received 200 AITA points and the Runners Up 150 points.
The Boys finals was a battle between firm solid groundstrokes of qualifier Rohith Hari Balaji and the crafty game of Gandharv Gourav Kothapalli.
