Imphal, Jan. 13 -- Oil depots across Manipur reopened from Tuesday after the Manipur Petroleum Dealers' Fraternity decided to call off its agitation following what it described as a positive response from the authorities to its demands related to highway security and movement of fuel tankers.

The decision was announced at a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club here.

The fraternity said the government had responded favourably to its three-point charter of demands, which primarily focused on ensuring the safety of petroleum dealers and uninterrupted transportation of fuel along national highways.
