Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, April 15 -- The national program to tackle malnutrition in India, known as Poshan Abhiyaan, has revolutionized the country's efforts in combating malnutrition due to policy convergence, technological advancement, and community engagement. Initiated on 8th March 2018, the mission signifies a shift in the perception of nutrition from welfare to an important element of human capital development.

In a statement, the government said that this program is based on the Ministry of Women and Child Development of India and involves collaboration between over 26 ministries under one umbrella.
