New Delhi, April 6 -- In a move that seeks to address long-standing concerns around neglected urban spaces, the Delhi government on Monday signed an MoU with private firms to redevelop stretches beneath several flyovers across the city.
The agreement, signed at the Delhi Secretariat in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, brings together the Public Works Department (PWD) and three private entities, Dalmia Bharat Limited, Godrej Industries Group, and EaseMyTrip Foundation, under corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The plan is to convert underutilised flyover spaces into landscaped zones with seating, murals, and basic civic amenities, noted the official statement from the CMO.
