Kolkata, Feb. 19 -- Ahead of the Assembly elections due in a few months , another reshuffle has taken place in the state police administration, with four IPS officers transferred.
The list includes the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of Alipurduar, Basirhat and Jangipur, along with a senior officer of the state intelligence wing.
According to a notification issued by the state home department, Alipurduar SP Umesh Ganpat has been transferred to the post of Senior Superintendent in the North Bengal unit of the West Bengal Intelligence Branch.
Arish Bilal, who was serving as Senior Superintendent in the Intelligence Branch, has been appointed SP of Basirhat police district.
