Ch. Sambhajinagar, Dec. 30 -- : Four former corporators from Ch. Sambhajinagar formally joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP - Ajit Pawar faction) on Tuesday, strengthening the party ahead of the upcoming municipal corporation elections.
Prominent among those who joined are Ajay Chawria and Pramod Narwade. Confirming the induction, local NCP MLA Satish Chavan said the leaders are likely to contest the forthcoming civic polls from Ward No. 15 as party candidates.
The inductees were welcomed during a formal event, where party members extended good wishes for their future political journey. State General Secretary Dilip Banker, City President Abhijit Deshmukh, and other office-bearers were present on the occasion.
