Ghaziabad, Jan. 9 -- The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) Unit, Meerut, has arrested four active drug traffickers involved in illegal narcotics smuggling.
The accused were apprehended with a large consignment of ganja during a joint operation in the Vijay Nagar area of Ghaziabad, police said on Friday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Afzal, a resident of Teliyon Ki Gali, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, Jawaj Khan, Ahmad Khan, and Riyaz Khan, all residents of village Basuham, district Darbhanga, Bihar.
During the arrest, police recovered 71 kg 300 grams of illegal ganja, estimated to be worth approximately Rs 36 lakh, along with three mobile phones and Rs 1,000 in cash from their possession.
