Patna, March 25 -- At least four people, including three youths in Patna, lost their lives in separate drowning incidents during the Chaiti Chhath festivities in Bihar on Wednesday, police said.
In the Malasalami police station area of Patna, three youths drowned in the Ganga River while taking a ritual bath at Damrahi Ghat. According to police, the incident took place when a group of youths had gone to the river for bathing on the occasion of Chaiti Chhath. During the process, three of them slipped deep into waters and drowned.
The deceased have been identified as Rohit Kumar, Ganesh Kumar and Sibu Kumar, all around 18 years of age. The bodies were sent to Nalanda Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
