Ranchi, Jan. 5 -- A four-day Anand Mela was inaugurated on Monday at the Jharkhand Armed Police - 1 Ground in Doranda, here, to mark the 146th foundation day of Jharkhand Armed Police-1.

The fair was formally inaugurated by Director General of Police Tadasha Mishra in the presence of ADG Priya Dubey, Ranchi SSP-cum-JAP Commandant Rakesh Ranjan and other senior officers.

On the occasion, officers highlighted the history of the Gorkha Battalion, now known as JAP-1, and recalled its legacy of bravery and discipline. They noted that the battalion has been honoured with several prestigious awards over the years.
