Chennai, Feb. 18 -- In a surprise move, P.M.Mannan, former DMK Madurai Deputy Mayor and a staunch loyalistof former union Minister M.K. Alagiri, joined the AIADMK.
Mannan along with his supporters joined the AIADMK in the presence of Party General Secretary and Leader of theOpposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami here, ahead of the ensuing Assembly elections.
Mr. Mannan was expelled from the DMK along with Mr. Alagiri in 2014.
