Kollam, Feb. 20 -- Former Travancore Devaswom Board president A Padmakumar was granted bail by a vigilance court in one of the cases linked to the alleged gold irregularities at Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple. However, he will remain in jail as he continues to be under judicial custody in another related case.
The court allowed bail in a case pertaining to the alleged removal of gold-plated sheets from temple structures, part of the wider probe into suspected misappropriation of temple gold. Padmakumar had been arrested in connection with the investigation into irregularities involving gold offerings and fittings at the hill shrine.
