Shillong, Jan. 20 -- Former Meghalaya Director General of Police, William Richmond Marbaniang, fondly known as Bill Richmond, died on Tuesday.
He was 75, and survived by his wife Enid Basaiawmoit and two children - daughter Lorina and son William.
Marbaniang breathed his last at Supercare Hospital in Shillong around 2.15 pm. He is survived by his wife Enid Basaiawmoit and two children - his daughter Lorina and son William.
Marbaniang held the top police post from January 31, 2005, to March 21, 2007. He was a distinguished officer who served the state with dedication, integrity and quiet resolve.
