Kochi, Jan. 25 -- Justice S. Siri Jagan, former judge of the Kerala High Court and a widely respected jurist known for his people-centric approach to justice, passed away late Saturday evening at a private hospital.
He was 74. Jagan had been undergoing treatment for about three weeks.
A native of Mayyanad in Kollam district, Justice Siri Jagan served as a judge of the Kerala High Court from 2005 until his retirement in 2014.
During his tenure, he handled several important cases, including suo motu public interest litigations, and earned a reputation for compassion, accessibility and commitment to social justice.
