New Delhi, March 23 -- A Special CBI court in Delhi today awarded three years of rigorous imprisonment to a former Sub-Inspector (SI) of Delhi Police for demanding a bribe from a man in exchange for allowing the entry and movement of the complainant's trucks through the zone where the accused was posted.
The court, while sentencing the accused SI Jagmal Singh Deshwal, who was then posted as Sub-Inspector and ZO at Nangloi Traffic Circle, Delhi Traffic Police, also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on him.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered the case on February 8, 2022 against the accused.
