New Delhi, May 9 -- Former Delhi BJP president and ex-Mayor Adesh Gupta has been discharged by the Delhi Lokayukta in connection with a complaint alleging corruption, misuse of office, and irregularities.
The order was passed by Justice Harish Chandra Mishra after hearings and examination of documents submitted by both sides. The Lokayukta reportedly observed that the allegations were not supported by sufficient evidence.
Advocate Akhil Mittal, appearing for Gupta, stated that the complaint was politically motivated and that all assets and income records presented before the authority were legally documented through bank records, financial statements, and income tax returns.
