Pune, Dec. 20 -- Ahead of the upcoming Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) elections, former corporators Suhas Kulkarni, Ujwal Keskar, and Prashant Badhe on Saturday urged the State Election Commission to take a historic decision to waive the fees charged for corner meetings and ward-level meetings.

In their appeal, the leaders stated that municipal elections are a vital component of the democratic process and are celebrated as a "festival of democracy."
