Guwahati, Feb. 16 -- Former president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, Bhupen Borah, has resigned from the grand old party, barely a few months ahead of the elections, signalling a divide among the ranks and files of the party.
Borah, who led the party from July 2021, has sent his resignation letter to the AICC top brass, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. Borah represented the Bihpuria constituency in the Assam Legislative Assembly from 2006 to 2016. After he resigned from the party, Borah also removed his designation from his social media handles.
