Nashik, Dec. 31 -- Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration's Nashik Office seized banned pan masala stock worth Rs 7,29,640 by raiding a godown in this district on Tuesday.
The raid, part of the MFDA campaign against gutkha and banned substances, included a joint team of the Food and Drug Administration Nashik Office and the Anti-Narcotics Squad which recently raided a godown at Sanjeevan Silk Industry, Dadhegaon, Pimpalgaon Road.
The seizure of banned pan masala, which was being illegally produced in the raided godown, said Manish Sanap, Joint Commissioner (Food), Food and Drug Administration, in a press release.
