Jaipur, Jan. 7 -- Two weather-related deaths were reported from Jodhpur and Bharatpur districts of Rajasthan even as the dense fog and persistent cold wave affected the normal life in many districts today.
The Meteorological Office sources said here cold wave and foggy weather conditions were prevailing in around 20 districts. This situation is likely to prevail until January 9, as a yellow alert for chilly weather is issued by the IMD office here.
Night temperatures in the IMD observatories at all stations were recorded below 10 degree C Wednesday morning with Sirohi at 4.7 degree C, remained the coldest place in plains this morning. In Tonk, Ajmer, Alwar Jaipur, Jaisalmer the mercury hovered around the mark of 6 degree C or even less.
