Kozhikode, Oct. 22 -- AICC Organising General Secretary K C Venugopal today said his renewed focus on Kerala politics is aimed at strengthening the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) ahead of the upcoming local body and Assembly elections, and not with any intention of seeking any post in state politics.
He noted that the people of Alappuzha had already elected him as their Lok Sabha representative.
Talking to newspersons here, Venugopal said his primary objective in concentrating on Kerala politics was to bring down the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) government. He also alleged that BJP and CPI(M) have entered into a secret understanding, and the implementation of the PM SHRI scheme in Kerala was part of that deal.
