New Delhi, Feb. 1 -- Finance Minister on Sunday announced a comprehensive set of initiatives aimed at increasing farmers' income, strengthening allied sectors, and accelerating rural entrepreneurship, with a focus on technology-driven agriculture and women-led enterprises.
Presenting the government's roadmap, the Finance Minister said the fisheries sector will be reinforced through an integrated development initiative covering 500 reservoirs and Amrit Sarovars, creating sustainable livelihoods while enhancing domestic fish production.
To generate employment opportunities in rural areas, the government will promote entrepreneurship development in the animal husbandry sector, encouraging value addition and small enterprise growth.
