Varanasi, April 18 -- Several police officers, including an ACP and a sub-inspector, were injured during a clash and stone-pelting between two groups under the Cholapur police station area of Varanasi district in Uttar Pradesh on Friday over a dispute over hoisting a flag at the main gate of Nehiya village.
Police have so far arrested four people and a case has been registered against 11 named and 50 unidentified individuals based on a complaint of Gosaipur outpost in-charge Vipin Pandey.
