Ranchi, Feb. 10 -- Five people were killed in elephant attacks over the past two days in Jharkand. In view of the escalating incidents, the Forest Department has taken major steps to control and monitor the movement of elephants.
A 19-member special expert team has been called from West Bengal to assist in the operation. Arrangements for torch patrols, intensified night vigil, and continuous patrolling have been put in place. Villagers have been advised to remain indoors during night hours as a precautionary measure.
