Kolkata, Dec. 15 -- The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) began an intensive search operation in the Bay of Bengal for five Indian fishermen who went missing after their trawler capsized when it was allegedly slammed by a Bangladeshi vessel in the early hours of Monday, sources at Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas said.
With 16 fishermen on board, the FB Paramita, which sailed into deep water fishing from Kakdwip ghat in the Sundarbans of South 24 Parganas on Sunday, was reportedly hit by a Bangladesh Navy ship early on Monday, toppling the trawler, which later capsized.
