Agartala, Feb. 2 -- Based on secret information, Tripura Police in Kailashahar of Unakoti district arrested five persons, including three Bangladeshi nationals, on Sunday.

They were all apprehended for illegally entering India and allegedly attempting to travel to Chennai.

Police on Monday produced them to court seeking their remand for further investigation.

According to Officer-in-Charge Tapas Malakar of Kailashahar Police Station, a plainclothes police team was conducting surveillance in the Paiturbazar New Motor Stand area when they observed suspicious movements involving five persons preparing to leave for Dharmanagar in North Tripura in a Maruti van to board a train for Chennai.
