Solan, Feb. 3 -- Taking a serious view against dereliction of duty, the Solan SSP has placed four cops under suspension while nine were sent to police line after the police were found absent from night patrolling on the Parwanoo-Shimla National Highway, last night.
Departmental action has also been initiated against four Home Guards for negligence.
Notably, SSP Gaurav Singh conducted surprise check at Parwanoo, Dharampur and Solan-Sadar police station on the highway at 2 a.m. and reportedly found the cops absent from duty and their respected patrolling beats.
He made a surprise visit to police stations and outposts under the jurisdictions of Parwanoo, Dharampur, and Solan Sadar police stations.
