Jamtara, Sept. 19 -- A tragedy was averted this evening at Kasturba Gandhi Girls' Residential School in Narayanpur, Jamtara, after a sudden fire broke out due to a suspected short circuit.
The incident caused panic as smoke spread through the premises, leaving 23 students unwell.
The affected students were immediately shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC), Narayanpur, where they received prompt medical attention.
Jharkhand Health Minister Dr Irfan Ansari personally met the admitted girls, spoke with their parents, and assured them of every possible support from the government.
