Banda, Feb. 4 -- A major controversy has erupted following the suspicious release of notorious scrap mafia and gangster Ravindra Singh alias Ravi Kana from Banda District Jail.
Acting on a complaint filed by the jail outpost in charge, an FIR has been registered at Kotwali Nagar police station against the Jail Superintendent, Jailer, and other unidentified officials under Section 260 C of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), officials confirm on Wednesday.
Taking the matter seriously, Superintendent of Police Palash Bansal has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the leadership of the Additional Superintendent of Police.
