Imphal, March 13 -- The seventh session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly continued on Friday with discussions and voting on ten Demands for Grants for the financial year 2026-27.
On the fifth day of the ongoing session, the House approved a total allocation of Rs 6,710.88 crore for ten departments after deliberations by the members.
Responding to a query raised by MLA Surjakumar Okram regarding the inflation rate in the state, Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh informed the House that the inflation rate in Manipur has declined compared to previous records.
He stated that the state recorded the lowest inflation rate in the country in January 2026 and the second lowest in February 2026.
