Ranchi, Feb. 17 -- The Jharkhand State Arogya Committee on Tuesday approved financial assistance for 21 beneficiaries under the Chief Minister's Serious Illness Treatment Scheme. The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Executive Director of the Jharkhand State Arogya Samiti, Chhavi Ranjan. The committee reviewed proposals ranging from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 20 lakh for treatment of cancer, kidney transplant and other critical ailments.
During the meeting, a total of 21 cases seeking medical grants between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 20 lakh were examined and approved.
