Film Phule should be shown in every school, college, cinema hall in Maha : MP Gaikwad
Mumbai, April 26 -- Mumbai Congress president and MP Varsha Gaikwad on Saturday demanded that the film 'Phule' be made tax-free in Maharashtra and a special screening of the film should be organized in schools in the state, especially girls' schools.
In her letter sent to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, MP Gaikwad stated that, the film 'Phule' is an inspiring work of art based on the life, struggle and thoughts of Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitrimai Phule.
The Phule couple opened the doors of education to women and the underprivileged, and for this they had to struggle a lot. Their struggle should be understood by the current generation and there is an opportunity to show it through the film Phule. Therefore, she...
